• Casein peptone (tryptic digest) 10 g
• Meat extract 5 g
• Yeast extract 5 g
• Glucose 10 g
• K₂HPO₄ 3 g
• Tween 80 1 ml
• Tap water 1 L

Adjust pH to 6.8.

For solid media add 15 g/L of agar powder.

After sterilization, aseptically add solutions of sodium ascorbate and cysteine-HCl to a final concentration of 1% and 0.05%, respectively.

Liquid medium not freshly prepared should be heated in a steamer for 10 min before addition of reducing substances.
