54. POTATO DEXTROSE AGAR (PDA) |
Boil finely diced potatoes in 500 ml of water until thoroughly cooked; strain through cheesecloth and add distilled water to filtrate to bring the volume to 1 L. Dissolve and melt the agar in the filtrated broth. The glucose is added prior to sterilization. Alternatively, commercially available medium (Difco 213400, Oxoid CM 139, Pronadisa 1022) can be used. Potato Dextrose Broth is a general-purpose broth medium for fungi prepared following the formula of Potato Dextrose Agar without the agar. Imprimir |
