77. POTATO YEAST BROTH/AGAR

  • Diced potatoes 300 g
  • Glucose 20 g
  • Yeast extract 5 g
  • Agar powder (only for solid media) 15 g
  • Distilled water 1 L
Boil finely diced potatoes in 500 ml of water until thoroughly cooked; filter through cheesecloth and add water to filtrate 1 liter.
Add agar and dissolve by heating. Glucose is added prior to sterilization.
