78. CORN MEAL AGAR

  • Filtered infusion from 50 g corn meal
  • Distilled water up to 1L
  • Agar powder 12 g

How to prepare the infusion: Blend 50 g corn meal in 800 ml of tap water. Leave overnight in the refrigerator. Heat at 60ºC for one hour. Filter.

Alternatively, commercially available media (Difco 0386, Oxoid CM 103) can be used.
