THE SPANISH TYPE CULTURE COLLECTION (CECT) is a general service of the University of Valencia.

One of the tasks carried out by the CECT is to maintain and preserve a collection of microorganisms composed of bacteria, yeasts and filamentous fungi.
These strains can be requested by any public institution or private company.
